Cloudy, sunny, hazy weather to prevail on Thursday – NiMet

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Thursday morning. According to NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office, on Wednesday in Abuja, thundery activities are likely over high ground areas and Yelwa in the afternoon and evening hours. The agency also predicted that the region would have day and night temperatures of 32 to 39 and 16 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively. It predicted that southern states would experience cloudy conditions over the inland and coastal cities with day and night temperatures of 34 to 37 and 22 to 28 degrees Celsius respectively. It also predicted prospects of localised thunderstorms over Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Eket, Calabar, Yenegoa, Warri, Osogbo, Ado-Ekiti, Enugu, and Awka and Benin during afternoon and evening hours. According to NiMet, northern states are expected to experience sunny and hazy conditions with day and night temperatures of 37 to 40 and 18 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively. “Sunny and hazy situation are expected over the northern region with anticipated thunderstorm in the high ground of central cities as a result of influx of moist laden wind,” NiMet predicted.
